The systematic evidence converged on a dual-mechanism answer: the same tool amplifies higher-order thinking under structured practice and substitutes for it under unguided use — so 'does AI deskill us' is the wrong question, and 'under what regime' is the right one. The homogenization worry got more precise too: AI collapses the structural form of writing sharply while leaving, or even widening, viewpoint diversity.
